The space has been lovingly remodeled by the new owners to reflect their affection for Palm Springs. The centerpiece of this exquisite space is the curated collection of artwork by the late internationally recognized Palm Springs artist, Nat Reed. Adorning the walls throughout the home, Reed's pieces showcase his unique interpretations of the “Familiar Modern”. Guests have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the vibrant local art scene, experiencing the talent and creativity that define Palm Springs. Each space within the home has a design aesthetic that coordinates with the carefully selected art while giving a nod to mid-century modern design.
The home is spacious with an open floor plan, high ceilings, and tons of natural light. The main house features three bedrooms plus two and a half baths, with another bedroom and full bath in the attached casita. Each of the four bedrooms is a tranquil haven, thoughtfully designed for maximum comfort and relaxation. Sink into scrumptious linens and plush bedding, surrounded by tasteful decor and colorful hues. The primary suite boasts a luxurious king-sized bed, a spacious en-suite bathroom with a soaking tub, and direct access to the outdoor patio. The two additional bedrooms in the main house share a bathroom with a double vanity and a private water closet and shower. The private casita bathroom has a toilet and shower.
All of the bathrooms have been recently remodeled to delight our guests. They feature floor to ceiling tile, high end fixtures, and a soaking tub in the primary suite. We provide towels that are found in luxury hotels around the world, along with toiletries carefully chosen to suit the space and the Palm Springs desert climate.
This beautiful home includes a south-facing backyard enclosed by bougainvillea living walls. It has an outdoor shower, pool, hot tub and misters to enjoy the gorgeous desert sunshine and views of the San Jacinto mountains. Relax by the pool in the comfortable sunbeds, unwind at the built-in sectional, dine al fresco, and enjoy the cooler evenings by the outdoor fireplace or with the portable heaters.
The gourmet kitchen is a chef's delight, featuring top-of-the-line appliances, two dishwashers, custom cabinetry, and ample counter space for culinary endeavors. Whether you're whipping up a gourmet meal or mixing up cocktails to enjoy by the pool, this kitchen provides the perfect backdrop for culinary exploration. The kitchen is fully appointed, with everything you need for your stay.
An office features a desk perfect for remote work and a sleeper sofa. A bright family room with a large sectional, a dining space with a table for 8, and a laundry room with a washer and dryer round out the indoor space.
We provide bikes for our guests to use during their stay. Our beverage center has you covered from coffee in the morning to a place to make cocktails in the evening. An outdoor fireplace provides an intimate location for a relaxing evening.
Our home sleeps 8 adults plus 2 children (age 12 or under) in 4 bedrooms and the game room. It has fast WiFi, a multi-room Sonos audio system, and smart televisions throughout. The home has been designed for the discerning guest. The Familiar Modern includes new modern furniture, comfortable mattresses, luxury bedding and towels, a fully stocked kitchen, and bathroom amenities for our guests.
Enjoy the vibrant town of Palm Springs, which includes marvelous restaurants, shopping and nightlife. The Familiar Modern includes 4 beach cruiser bicycles for easy transport to all that Palm Springs has to offer. Palm Springs is known for its hot springs, stylish homes and hotels, golf courses and spas. It’s also noted for its many fine examples of mid-century modern architecture. Its core shopping district along Palm Canyon Drive features vintage boutiques, interior design shops, restaurants and Tiki bars. The surrounding Coachella Valley offers hiking, biking and horseback riding trails.
